Overcome Your Excuses To Reach Your Goals!

The sweet spot is that place that you have wanted to be for so long. In the sweet spot, you make a difference; you’re financially comfortable; your family is taken care of. Life is good in the sweet spot. To get there, you have yo overcome your excuses and start tracking your habits using a morning routine app

Excuses destroy you from the inside out, but if you can conquer these thoughts, the sweet spot will be yours for the taking. Excuses mean that you have not found enough reasons to succeed. Let’s cut the excuses and go to work.

Overcome Your Excuses – I’m Not Good Enough

Everyone was once not good enough, so if you think this, you only have two ways you can go. Either you’re already good enough and need to give yourself more credit, or you need to get better. Neither of

these positions is a bad place to be though.

If it’s a case of not being good enough, this is also ok. I was 17 when I first had thoughts of writing a book, but the truth was that I was not good enough yet to do it. I needed more life experience, and I needed my writing to get better.

What I did next was TAKE ACTION! I’ve continued to live life and think about what I was learning, and I began a blog, a clothing line, and started to put my experiences into writing. I practiced for five years until I was GOOD ENOUGH.

The only way to become good enough is to overcome your excuses and work on your craft every day. There is no way around it.

  • Everyone starts off being bad at what they do
  • Take action until you’re where you want to be
  • Good enough is something you work towards and past

Overcome Your Excuses – I’m Scared

Aren’t we all scared? Being scared is not always a reason to stop. Being scared is a time to activate your courage and go hard than ever.

If your dreams do not make you fearful than you are not dreaming big enough. When what you are chasing after makes you scared or makes you feel a bit small, charge forward! You will thank me later.

I remember my first time making a presentation to get an angel investment. I was so scared leading up to this presentation. A million things were running through my head, and everything in me just wanted to not go through with this meeting and presentation.

I didn’t back out, though. I charged forward and went after my dream, and I was fortunate in doing so. If you don’t move past fear, you will never figure out how far you can go.

  • Being scared is not a reason to stop
  • Fear is an opportunity to work on courage

Overcome Your Excuses –  Where is a short cut?

Take life one step at a time, one day, one week, and stay in your lane. We can get so far ahead of ourselves that we begin to worry about step 15, and we have not even taken the first step. This is a quick way to failure.

When you take step one, it is easy to see the next level because you are closer to it. Just keep taking things as they come up. Stop worrying about all of the things in life that you can’t control. Getting steps ahead will make you feel overwhelmed, and then you’ll want to throw in the towel.

Getting steps ahead entices us to start skipping steps to get ahead in life. You don’t need to do that. There are no shortcuts to success. You have to go a long way.

  • Take life one step at a time
  • You can’t skip steps
  • Life offers no shortcuts to succeess

Overcome Your Excuses – Too Young/ Too Old

This is just a lame excuse, no matter how you look at it. There is nothing worse than thinking either of these things and then going on to see someone way younger than you or way older than you accomplish what you had always wanted to.

The best day to start anything is today. It does not matter your age. Don’t hold kids back from their dreams because they are young, because you have no idea what they could do with some encouragement. The elderly stay young by following their heart and having purpose.

  • Today will always be your best day to start
  • Age is just a number

Overcome Your Excuses – I’m Too Busy

Are you too busy, or are you just unwilling to change? There is a big difference between the two. I have learned in my years that busy people make time for the essential things. While people who act busy making excuses.

If you say you want something, but then you follow it up with being too busy, then you don’t want it. If you say you want a family, but you’re too busy to have one, then the truth is that you don’t want a family more than you want a career or whatever you say is in the way.

Our society has a way of praising people for being busy. We act as if we deserve a medal or something because we are busy, but the truth is that being over-active is not good.

It means that you’re better at wasting time than most people. Stop the madness and get your priorities straight. Being busy is often a sign of being out of control of your time. Using a morning routine app will help you to have more free time than you have ever had.

  • Adapt to the times
  • You make time for the things you want to make time for
  • Praise productivity and efficiency over business

Waiting for the Right Time

You will be waiting for the perfect moment FOREVER because there is no such thing.  Our minds make this time up so that we can delay having to make a change. You can’t forget that we are all naturally scared of making changes because we fear the unknown.

The right time to do what you have wanted to do was yesterday, and it always will be. The longer you continue letting this excuse hold you back, the more the opportunity will pass you by. Take action today!

In every business that I have started, there was never a good time to do it. Don’t have the experience? Take action until you have it. Need money? Go and grind for it! Once you start, commit to learning quickly from your mistakes.

  • There is never a perfect moment to act
  • The best time to start was yesterday
  • Start and learn fast

It’s Too Difficult

There is nothing worth doing that is going to come easy. Why would you want it to be easy? If it was easy, that means that everyone would be able to do it and if everyone can do it, then what you are doing is not that special at all.

Aim for difficulties and learn to face them daily. When you make to-do lists, you tend to try and do the easy things first, but this is a horrible way to get things done. Work on the most critical and most difficult things first because that will be the most rewarding task.

When you can adopt that mindset every day with something as simple as a to-do list, it will transfer over to the rest of your life. Life will become about finding the difficult things to do and conquering in it. That is where the rewards lie.

  • Nothing worth having comes easy
  • Beat your obstacles down daily
  • Fulfillment comes from accomplishing hard things
