How I Use Bluehost

Bluehost

I have been building websites since 2009, and since then, I have always used Bluehost for my Hosting. One of the biggest mistakes you can make is choosing the wrong Hosting because it can provide the features. I have helped others with sites, and they have used cheaper services like Host Gator, and it has not worked out great for them. They are met with many downtimes and then have many problems trying to get the support they need.

I started with Habit Stacker on one of Bluehost's cheaper plans. They offer shared hosting plans, but I did not stay on it too long. Habit Stacker began to grow pretty quickly, and I knew that shared Hosting would cause me issues. Shared Hosting is much slower because one server has hundreds of sites on it.

Which Plan Do I Use With Bluehost?

It was time for me to move to the big leagues and get on a VPS, which stands for Virtual Private Server. Think of a VPS like an apartment building and a shared server like an open space with many beds. With a shared server, there is nothing to call your own.

There is one server shared in an apartment building, but each entity has its own space, so there is less taxation on the server. Once the traffic begins to get upwards into the millions, I may have to switch to a dedicated server. But for now, the VPS is doing the job that I need it to do.

One other thing you should consider when deciding which hosting plan you want is how fast you need your site to go. Shared servers can be slow, and that can cause you to lose traffic and customers. If you are building an SEO site like this one, Google rewards sites that move fast.

What I Like Most About Bluehost?

The thing I like the most about Bluehost is their customer service. When your site is down, and you need it fixed, or you have made a mistake on something, you need to be able to contact your hosting quickly. Every time I have had to deal with their customer service, it has gone well. They don't stop working with me until the problem is fixed.

The other thing I like about Bluehost is that you can get everything you need in one place. If you need an email address, a domain, or any other services or extensions for your site, they got you covered. Bluehost also comes with its C-panel, which makes it easy to get up and to go.

Why You Should Use Bluehost

In 2020 not having a website is insane. Many people would consider social media or a site like Medium or LinkedIn to be their home base. The issue with these places is that you don't get control over them; you have to play by the tech companies' rules.

If you're going to have your site, you're going to need hosting. If you are new to the website game, Bluehost is a great option. You're going to get an easy start to building a simple WordPress site that runs fast while getting all of the support you need to stay in business.
