Why Do You Need to Be Thankful?

Believe it or not, thankfulness is one of the easiest ways to increase your satisfaction in life. As long as you feel you need more, you can't be satisfied at that moment no matter how much success or money you have.

The guy who has the beautiful wife, the nice car, and the fantastic house can't enjoy any of it if he is looking at the woman down the street and the car that her husband drives. It creates envy, jealousy, and the need to change for the wrong reasons.

When you are thankful, you free yourself of this burden. Instead of seeing the things that you don't have, it turns you inward to focus on all that you do have. You look at people who have less than you, and you see that gap between their life and your life, and you become grateful.

When you feel thankful inside, you free yourself from those negative emotions of envy, and you allow yourself to be happy and in a positive state. That positive state is what will enable you to actually bring more success into your life.

  • Thankfulness increases satisfaction with life
  • Thankfulness removes the burden of negative emotions like envy
  • Positive emotions attract more success compared to negative emotions
