Here at TheHabitStacker we love all things Habit, Finance, and Investing. That’s why we can’t wait to share another witty and satirical definition from Jason Zweig’s book, The Devil’s Financial Dictionary. If you’re an investor, you’ll enjoy this one, we almost guarantee it. Just be prepared to laugh and cry, all at once.
ACQUISITION, n. A transaction in which one company pays too much to buy another. As Warren Buffet wrote, “If a CEO is enthused about a particularly foolish acquisition, both his internal staff and his outside advisors will come with whatever projections are needed to justify his stance. Only in fairy tales are emperors told that they are naked.”
