She got most of her wealth from the divorce settlement when she parted ways with Jeff in 2019. Mackenzie was born MacKenzie Sheri Tuttle on 7, April 1970 in San Francisco, California. 

She went to Hotchkiss School in Lakeville, Connecticut, and later joined Princeton University for her English degree. The young Mackenzie loved literature and writing since when she was a small girl. Her parents realized Sheri’s passion for writing and gave her the best education. Mackenzie met Jeff in New York and they married in 1993. However, their marriage hit a hard rock after about three decades and they divorced in 2019.

Mackenzie Bezos started her career by doing several research jobs under Tony Morrison. The young Mackenzie took about ten years to write her first book, “The Testing of Luther Albright. The book had a massive reception and she went ahead to write the second book called, "Traps".

Mackenzie has been committed to her writing career and she has made good money from her books. She founded an anti-bullying organization called “Bystander Revolution” in 2014 to help in eradicating bullying. Mackenzie received a big chunk of their family wealth after divorcing Bezos and she became a billionaire.
