Terry played for the San Diego Chargers, Washington Redskins, and Philadelphia Eagles as a pro. He retired from the NFL and joined the film industry around 1999.

Terry launched his new career by appearing in the film called "The 6th Day." His second movie, "Friday After Next," did well and earned him fame throughout the country.
