You can’t make a book of the best books for new entrepreneurs with the $100 dollar startup. The book does a great job showing you how to get started. You don’t need a lot of money or any crazy ground breaking idea to be a successful entrepreneur. It does not matter your age either. You just need a vision and the will to bring it alive.  The book also showcases different entrepreneurs who have started their businesses with very little money. 

#9 – The Dip

The Dip will make you think twice about anything you start. Seth Godin does a beautiful job of showing you that the rewards in life go to the best. The best in every category makes way more then second best. You should not start anything unless you think you can be the best. 

If you think you can do that then you have to get through the Dip. The Dips is the low point where any project is no longer fun. Its the place where the most people quit only three feet from gold from the prize. This book will help you figure out if you care enough about what you are doing to go the distance. 

#8 – The One Thing

The one thing will help you get focused. If you’re even thinking of being an entrepreneur it means that you probably have a lot of ideas. This can be great but it can also be a curse. People with a lot of ideas love to jump between them and never finish anything. You have to prioritize and decide what is important and this book will help you do it. 

There is no other book that will bring more clarity to your life in such  simple manner as this one. You will quickly see how you can get more done with your life but also in everything you do daily. 

# 7 – Three Feet From Gold

Three Feet From Gold is a must read for when looking for the best books for new entrepreneurs. It has one of the best collections of stories from people who had to endure a lot in order to succeed. Evader Holyfield, Truett Cathy, and many more entrepreneurs give their take and advice on what it takes to succeed. 

As an entrepreneur you will face many times will you want to quit. This is a book that you on to tight in those moments when you want to give up prematurely. 

#6 – Remote

The only reason Remote makes the list is because it gets you outside of the box of the current world. I don’t think you have to be a remote company to be successful at all. But you should set your company up to be able to handle people not being in the office or a power outage in the area. 

In this book they make a case for why remote work is better, but they also give steps and things you can do to make it work. It’s written from the founders of software startup Basecamp which is known for its awesome company culture and products. They have done it all being remote from day 1. 

#5 -Extreme Ownership

Extreme Ownership is one of the best books you can read to improve your leadership skill. As an entrepreneur you need to get the point of the book drilled in you head. Its always your fault and you never have any reason to blame any other person for failure but yourself. Its that simple. If you’re always looking to blame its because your not a leader and you’re not ready to take control. 

#4 – Pushing Up People

This book is an old school book that has been slept on by many. Pushing up people is written by a former football coach who went on to start his own insurance sales company. He focuses much more on motivating and caring for his people than he does using a dictator whip. 

If you are going to be an entrepreneur, you’re going to need to know how to build a team and retain your team. Treating people with respect and motivating them to be their best is a huge part of that and Art Williams nails just ho to do that. 

#3 – The Icarus Deception

This is the second Seth Godin book on the list and honestly, you could probably fit Purple Cow and Linchpin on here too. I chose The Icarus Deception because I think the moral is one that any new entrepreneur needs to hear. The book talks about how you need to get out of your comfort zone because the safety zone has moved. Its not safe to just sit at a job until you can retire anymore. That idea is outdated. 

#2 – Think and Grow Rich

Think and Grow Rich is one of the classic success books. Napoleon Hill interviews the top entrepreneurs and thinkers of his time. The truths in this book still apply today and they will apply 100 years from now.

#1 -The E-Myth

E myth is will make your head spin if you are not read to think like a business owner instead of someone who works in their businesses. It may take you a few reads to lock in just how important this book is. The purpose of this book is to get you outside of the box of thinking like an employee. An entrepreneur builds a business system and then hires workers to work that system. 

If you find yourself doing too much work its usually because you are caught in the system instead of working to build your system. The book made the books for new entrepreneurs list because too many entrepreneurs get this wrong even when they have been doing this for a while.
